Ok cool that helps a lot right there. I was reading somewhere on this forum that I should bring birth certicate and SS cards for my dependents to fill out tax and insurince stuff

Don't need the cards, just the SS numbers. And if you're doing direct deposit, a voided check.

I always recommend duffel bags. 3 of them. One large one for all your clothes. A medium one that can be rolled up and stored inside the large duffel bag, but will be used for your dirty clothes as you accumulate them. And a small duffel bag that also can be rolled up and stored in the large duffel bag but will be used for holding your clean set of clothes and towel when you're ready to head in for your showers. Oh and a fanny pack to hold your toothbrush and toothpaste. It is a little more discreet walking through the truckstop with your stuff hidden in the fanny pack as opposed to carrying your dripping toothbrush.

In this way, everything you have would fit inside the large duffel bag and a bed roll with pillow. If something bad happens and you get abandoned at a truckstop 2000 miles from home, you won't have 2 suitcases and several bags to try to handle. Plus you can keep the duffel bags down my the foot of the bed and not take up the mentor's shelf/cabinet space so much, (s)he will appreciate that forethought..

Especially in your truck with you and Abby, would need to bring the least amount possible. :biggrin_25514:
