a honest question for a new driver forum yet everyone has to be dicks.
anyway OP, look into Roehl. They have some sort of 7 day on 7 day off thing going, that's somewhat similar to what you are looking for.

Gypsy27, after you get your CDL and some experience, you could look into being a part time driver. I'm in Pennsylvania but just about every trucking company in my area hires part time drivers. I've been driving part time for almost fifteen years and worked for three different companies over that time. I just call in with my availability and they will run me as hard as I want to run or if I'm not available for a few weeks they understand because I'm just part time.

You could also sign up with Temp agencies if there are any in your area.

Sure there are plenty of companies that do 14 on 7 off. My first job was going to be a Schneider tanker version of this.
Just didn't want the expense of owning a car or commuting but that's just me.
    (Now I have like 20 cars & motorcycles...how ironic)

You'll have to clean out the truck every time and leave it at the nearest terminal and commute. Knoxville you shouldn't have problems finding work.
