For the guys with electric razors I've found this helps when you skip a day or more, or if your beard grows fast. Shave with the direction the hair grows as a first pass. Then once you "trimmed" the beard shave against the grain for a close shave. If I skip a day the hair gets longer and the electric razor yanks the hair. 1) with the grain, and 2) against the grain for closeness.
I just used the cheapest rotary electric shaver in the truck. It recharges from household AC power. The smallest power inverter, suitable for laptops, is plenty big enough to recharge an electric razor. My cheapo razor rarely had a problem working every day for a week until I could recharge at home or in a hotel. You can also plug it in while you shower at the truck stop. That will recharge it enough to get another shave before you leave the shower room. -
I used to take along a Norelco triple header shaver. it ran on battery or ac.
I would always make sure I looked presentable to a customer.
I did have twin edge shavers and shave cream for when I would be showering however.
Electric shavers have certainly come a long way over the years. -
I prefer to use a triple blade razor. But while I'm on the road, I use a 3 head rotary rechargeable.
It takes a bit to get used to an electric. But if you keep them clean and maintained. They'll get the job done with minimum effort.
Hair pulling in usually the sign of a dull or dulling blade, or insufficient charge on the batteries. -
I'm considering getting an electric shaver thing. For years I've been shaving right in the shower. Face is already wet, use a little handheld mirror and rinse the razor right in the shower stream. Very convenient because you can rinse off all the shave cream thoroughly as opposed to splashing water on your face at the sink then you have that 'Something About Mary' cream hanging off your ears lol.
I cut my own hair too. CVS sells various hair cutting tools, the one I bought has different attachments, one of which can take your scalp down to bald. I guess you could use it on your face as well. -

I don't grow a beard quick, so shaving every couple days isn't an issue.
In my opinion, there's no excuse for guys going days without cleaning up. It's just pure laziness. You get showers with fuel..... -
Come run a few of my rabbit trails, and show me how it's done.
