Will take "hometime" at the hotel in TN next week. But if I didn't have to have medical exams, and go see doctor and meet accountant for tax return prep. and check 3 months of mail and pay some bills and deal with whatever else I need to deal with after these 3 months on the road... I would rather remain on the road... Maybe next time I can keep on trucking for 6 months or so instead of 3... Hopefully my old vehicle will not quit during this "hometime"... No time for extra problems... it will be rush rush again...

Blizzard conditions in S Dakota. We were trying to get our drivers in and out today before they got caught up in the blizzard. Not sure how many of them made it out, but I know there were 2 who were staying ahead of it.Rocks Thanks this.

After 30 hrs up and going.... I am going to bed...
Will start driving a little after midnight... And want to get a good parking spot at a Pilot in GA tomorrow.
-
Good pkg spot=Can't get hit--Can't get blocked in--Won't get bothered+QUIET---What part of that definition would a Pilot qualify?
Lol
Good luck young ladyRocks Thanks this. -
I have checked on Google maps satellite view the Pilot where I intend to park tomorrow... and intend to be there in the middle of the morning hoping there will be less trucks... and selected a few spots where there is less chance of being hit and they may be a little less noisy than the rest... Shall see...
Great parking place is where I am right now... at the co's warehouse in TN...
Parked at the end of the yard... in the back of the building... no truck came here today and I was able to sleep with windows open...
Leaving around 1:30 am so will not face Atlanta traffic... and will have truck and trailer washed very very early in the morning hoping there will not be a line of trucks there... and after I park at Pilot, will walk to delivery place, which is only one mile away to check on location and how to do the backing on Thursday... It's a dead end residential street surrounded by old trees with very low branches, lots of foliage, and low wires...
The receiver wants the truck to back to their yard... Oh boy... the places we go in this co. are UNBELIEVABLE....
ironpony Thanks this. -
He 'olhand... I found a very good parking spot at Pilot this morning... but then, I walked to receiver nearby and they said it would be ok to park at their location overnight...
and I was able to tell them and the landscape crew what tree branches to cut and clear the way for me to back truck safely in the receiver's yard.
So now I am here... conveniently parked and ready for delivery tomorrow.... A much, MUCH nicer , quieter and safer place than Pilot...
