A buddy of mine got an overweight ticket in Oklahoma after weighing legal in Florida. The officer told him the ticket was to the company and not to him. Since he was passing through the home terminal anyway; he went directly to the top and they followed the instructions on the CAT website for filing a claim on their promise. Within a few days, his company was reimbursed the $200 fine and the deduction from his paycheck was stopped and never saw it come out.

Thanks for this information.... I wonder if that was my problem... I've only been driving 6 months... Had one preventable accident when I first started six months ago... Non since then ... And now I got an overweight Ticket... Definitely a learning experience

True! If the scale isn't level, that will affect accurate weighing.

If you got a CAT ticket showing you were legal, CAT has your back. Just follow their instructions.

I know Schneider says any ticket the driver gets is 100% on the driver. Doesn’t matter if the company is the one ticketed, the driver WILL pay.

I hate to be a stick in the mud. But if I read the question correctly the OP has no issue with CAT. Last I remember was CAT only guaranteed the gross weight. I hope I am wrong of course. I fear though I am not.

I got overweight with Schneider and they never took anything out my paycheck. Same with getting tow.

When I get pull in the weigh station, they tell me to only release the tractor not the trailer. So I been doing that at CAT scales too

    Trucker926 Thanks this.
