Your own authority or leasing to a carrier? What are your reasons for wanting to buy a truck?

Depends. Is this something thats going to happen today? Or will it be a week? A month? A year? Do you have a bsuiness plan? Do you have capital? Do you have customers line up? Why do you want to be an O/O? Are you mechanically inclined? How long have you been in the industry? What kind of cargo do you handle? Is it steady work? What kind of budget do you have? Driving record?

These are just SOME of the questions you need an answer to before you even consider it.

Let me guess...it was from a Mexican number and said you'd only have to do one run per month? lol

 

At the moment, I would definitely rethink buying a truck. Not a good time, just look through the forum. Unless you have sweet deal for freight.

 

Lol I have no idea. All they ever say is I can make 40k/mo. I never reply unless I'm in a particularly bad mood.
