Ive a 5ver that says Bus is rocking and rolling downgrade. Nothing like 50 impatient loud New Yawkers wanting there yet?

I cannot be a bus driver. I interviewed once and got burned bad at the office by mrs high muck a much back in Manchester, god rest her ever tight soul. In those days a Class A was plenty for that.

Ultimately I decided that trying to run with the Jersey and Delaware Casino buses and their Cats is a losing game. God they were fast.

We had a full up loaded heavy wet trash truck punch a pre-stressed divider in 695 north once. Straight on. Took out about 5 odd feet and 2 foot down. Stopped it cold from crossing over. Probably took that driver's spine out of the trucking business all together.

Depends sometime on the manufacturer’s and/or customer’s specifications. I’ve seen two roof hatches before on motor coaches but very rarely nowadays (see them more on transit buses).

Probably didn't bust all the bolts, probably just bent over/ broke the slide track.
Zoom in on picture by @TRUMP2020 @drvrtech77 and you can see 5th wheel outer frame is still there

So the mechanical failure was more from twisting than shearing.

    I don't know.

Bolts only know how to fail one way. My big ham fisted brother should know, constantly breaking his wheel bolts...

Cutting a bolt is easier than twisting them I would think.

I know of a ancient nut and bolt factory in eastern NC that will answer that question relatively quickly.

In addition the chassis on the FedEx tractor is bent/curved! You have to look hard enough at the photo to see it.
All of those trucks and the motor coach may as well as be scrapped, but the authorities will maybe hold on to them for evidence during the investigation.

    Roberts450 and Cabinover101 Thank this.

Yeah, five dead, 60 injured, three trucks and a bus, uncertain weather, NTSB already there -- I'll bet it's going to be a year before we get the official report.
