I threw to codes on my ISX 15 (spn 3216 and spn 3226) both Nox related. I cleared them with the OTR tool. They haven’t been back..... yet.... this new emissions BS is new to me. But since I’m in Commiefornia, I’ll have to adjust and live with it.
Regarding Paccar, the trucking company I sub for, when they went with Paccar engines back around 2014 and they all have had problems once they got around 300k on them. I believe they have only 1 left out of 4 they bought back then.daf105paccar Thanks this. -
Could be bad luck.........could be the wrong maintenance.............could be the choosing the wrong engine for what they do.
I know a O/O who had issues with a Volvo for 3y's.
Changed the quality off his DEF.................no more issues.
And i know another one who also changed his DEF and still had the same issues. -
Well you must have a unicorn of some kind. I have a 2012 T-660 with the MX-13. Got it in December 2016 with 379,000 miles. It’s up to 738,957 as we speak. The engine itself is not bad in my opinion. It’s been reliable, decent on fuel mileage, doesn’t burn oil between oil changes (using Lucas), no oil leaks. The emissions components on the other hand are a whole different story. And if you can’t find a shop or mechanic who knows how to diagnose said issues you’re in for huge repair bills. Keep wishing I could do “the big fix” on it but that seems to be a can of worms.

My opinion is that is the real issues with modern trucks.
Too many partchangers who don't know what they are doing.
Not saying you will see it in the USA BUT...............a heads up.
They are testing sniffers that check you while you pass them.
Any changes in emissions are picked up.
Becomes real easy to pick out the deleted ones.
Latest we hearded was they are waiting to be certified.
Once they are certified.............will be like shooting fish in a barrel.
And i have seen them with my own eyes................they did a test in our area.Itsbrokeagain and Super-Trucker Thank this. -
@Diesel Dave
@Super-Trucker
Have you guys looked into a fault codereader?
Paccar has one.
PacLink.
Is on Google playstore and apple.
Might look into that.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -

I thought so too. I used to despise them. Hate me all you want but I recently asked to be transferred out of my 379 550 C15 into a 386 485 MX13. I kid you not, that MX will out-pull my old C15 running less RPMs. The emissions control has been, altered, and it completely woke that engine up. Hills don't even phase it anymorealds, Super-Trucker, magoo68 and 2 others Thank this.

It was brand new lol installed by CAT at 898k, had just over 50k on it when I moved out of the truck. Don't get me wrong, the emissions Paccars run like trash, but deleted they are animalsSuper-Trucker, Diesel Dave, magoo68 and 1 other person Thank this.
