So the packing checklist for Schneider says only one suitcase is allowed. However, you're supposed to pack for three weeks and that includes a sleeping bag and pillow. Granted it means pack tight or use your largest suitcase. What are your experiences?

    Start here:

    Packing List for Students

This is not Schneider specific, but will still give you good ideas.

Don't use a suitcase; use a flexible duffle bag. There's no room for a suitcase in the truck with you and the trainer living in it.

Actually, the trainer will be staying in a motel but I'll be staying in the truck, according to my recruiter.

OK, Schneider, I see that now.
I'd still go with a duffel bag, but that's your decision.

Two wranglers Jeans, 7 days underwear, 7 days socks., 7 days shirt. One set of storm wear, one set of cold wear with gloves etc. Then big thirsty towel and a number of face wash cloths among other things. A laundry bag that you can wash with the jeans etc goes in there.

That and a brief case takes care of it quite a bit. I carried a small side bag containing razor, shaving cream and a bunch of odds and ends necessary to daily small stuff.

I used a standard suit case, the size and weight capacity of it is less than 50 pounds when loaded into a Cessna 152's cargo area behind the seating area and strapped for the flight home from school a few times. It's small enough to fit in that cabin space and just light enough to help the plane maintain datum balance on it's wings without being unbalanced.

That was the same suitcase I still have to this day. Something like about 40 years on it now.

Pillow and coat wrapped up in the sleeping bag. Everything else in the duffle. Make sure your duffle is waterproof.1 pack of socks, tees rolled tight and stacked. 3 pair jeans rolled tight and stacked in. Your important papers sealed in a ziplock. Tablet, phone cords. 1 pair of flip flops (shower shoes) and 1 pair shorts. Carry a hoodie, and wear it if you’re on a bus ride.
