Lots of better choices.
Driver solutions suck.
Read all the bad reviews.
Only people who got screwed will take time to write a review.
Much better applying to a company you hear nothing about...

I was in charge of a gas station in Maryland once when a Pam recruit two weeks out of trucking school came into my property. To understand the place all you have to do is turn right at the light we are on the corner with a truck fuel pump way in the back and a acre to turn around in if need be for that pump. Semis go in that way and come out going east. Or back west turning around in a circle back to the light the way they entered.
PAM used a car turn in just past the light which is a 180 turn back for the gasoline side with the tractor. Hist trailer pivoted while still on the right lane of the freeway and then crossed over the landscaping and big curbing desinged to prevent that. Crushed two tress, took out a number of bushes and trenched the trailer wheels a foot plus down into the lawn over electrical service and other really important utitlies under there. (Gas line) Thumped onto my pavement and came in with his information to see if I am going to call the Law on him with that property damage. (You bet)
Learned his situation through tears on him he was mid 60's back then and should have known better. I think Pam dismissed him pretty quick, I would not know. The owner was able to use the money to repair the damages on his land to bring it back to code for businesses in that area. And a bright new sign, "No trucks" as if you cannot have eyes and don't know already that wont fit a semi.
He never did get his fuel. I pointed him downtown to the Baltimore Plaza or Jessup TA as his options for fuel going that way.
First impressions are bad. When youre in the sleeper one day and a pam rips off your front end entirely with you riding the rocking tractor as it happened with his trailer. in a truckstop to boot. You always tried to park to protect your front end even before the many immigrants came into the industry long ago in those days.
Im not here to pick on Pam, they are just like any number of other trucking companies wrestling with a low skilled work force who are better off at home doing something that does not involve property damage or hurting people. -
There's nothing really positive to say for most of the drivers there , its mainly very low pay and many of their trailers and lots are in a terrible state . Many trailers are broken in some fashion or another and many of the drop lots they use are tiny and have gigantic potholes/rocks everywhere.
No one wants to be away from home minimum 3 weeks at a time and work their butt off and get paid like their working at McDonalds. PAMs mainly a factory for new drivers looking to get their school paid for and get out ASAP with a better paying company when they can. I know alot of drivers with PAM left BEFORE their contract was up b/c they get frustrated with the low pay. And there are much higher paying companies that will pay off your tuition in installments as well.
