Just gonna cut to the chase here, Im wanting to start up as a O/O hotshot driver. I live here in south Texas and am trying to get all the paperwork filed. I got my LLC in the process already waiting on EIN and such. What else needs to be filed?

    FMSCA
    DOT#
    MC
    BOC-3

What else is needed and do i have to wait for my EIN and LLC to be fully formed or can i get on these already. I dont want to be fooling around if i can get these done asap. I tried and seems like i needed my LLC formed. Let me know any advice you experienced guys have.

    Thanks.

Did you check in to Bankruptcy filing. If you will use chapter 7,11 or 13.
Seriously. Don't forget to start a driver file for yourself. I think you will need an EIN for you DOT#
    Good luck.

You are the company, You are also the driver. The company(LLC) needs to have a file on each driver(you).
It is called a driver Qualification file. My assumption is you are a CDL holder.

You make the business work during this economic downturn, You will survive any economic condition.
    Good Luck.

I am a CDL holder, I'm aware of the economic conditions however I didn't know it was that bad for freight, I know it's slow but is it that bad right now for freight? Do you believe chances of failure are very high?

Be prepared to wait 21-45 days for dot # to be activated.
Have to have drug and alcohol testing, be in the clearing house now as both employee and employer, do a check on yourself ($1.25/full check then do limited query every year.)
Brokers pay 30-60-up to 90 days so have money or run for a company you know m.
    Best to have some cash.

Also look into getting a DUNS number, after getting EIN
And KYU number if you plan on going to or through Kentucky
