Just curious as to what companies allow you to bring a passenger if you wanted? I know there is a fee & paperwork that gotta be filled out but what companies allow it? All? Some? I want to know if Averitt does.

Werner allows 1 passenger over 18 & a dog or cat. That pretty cool. lol

Most, if not all companies allow riders over a certain age. Usually it has to be someone directly related to you. Averitt only allows your spouse to ride with you.

Like others have listed, however something to think about- a few companies won't allow passengers to ride during winter months, or at least until the driver has 6 months to a year in. I guess they figure the extra weight from the passenger is prone to causing breaking the tires loose on ice/snow/sleet..... [/sarcasm]

I think Averitt only allows a spouse, or possibly a child above a certain age to ride. They may only allow spouse during Summer months. NOBODY other than spouse, or possibly child, is allowed to ride in truck. It's a firing offense. You can call 800-Averitt during the week and ask for direct answer from company HQ.

Rusty, your best way to find this out, is to contact the company you are interested in and find out directly from them.
