It's one of those wearable cams. Comes with a clip and a magnet. I use the clip with with my hat so it 'see's whatever I see.Dominick253 and otherhalftw Thank this.

When you gonna "watch" something a little more "interesting"?

TigerShark and Blackshack46 Thank this. -
I think Scottie should do a whole series on trucking for the new guys and wannabes.
If you do Scottie, please please dont be a super trucker and don't be Mr. Perfect like all your other videos. It never works out in your favor. -
The trucking videos I write, produce, direct and perform in are the type of content I like(d) to see on youtube about trucking. Doing research on trucking back in 2010 I was all over youtube using the search keyword 'trucking' watching everything I could. The worst vids are the ones where the driver is in the driver seat with the camera pointed at their face babbling on and on about nonsense. I prefer Point of View reality type content. I have a whole series of stuff I want to put together that should be monumentally interesting, entertaining and educational.

Here's a video from the olden days of trucking where we could legally hold electronic devices while driving, this guy lost his trailer tandems by exactly forgetting to lock his slider pins in.

Sliding the tandems was sort of 'busy work' while we were waiting for the other two guys to get out of the way. Normally I like to pull out the handle and drive up to the backing setup area. Sometimes will not even slide the tandems til the trailer is docked then pull ahead and slide them and re-back to the dock. In this case I just decided to go ahead and do it; eliminated 'dead air' in radio DJ speak.
My hood was crushed and bumper ripped off by a Decker driver last month. Truck in shop getting some plastic surgery.Last edited: Mar 24, 2016
otherhalftw and Dominick253 Thank this. -
I'm not super familiar with the Cascadia yet. But I can get downright surgical with my KWhopper; it would bring a tear to your eye.otherhalftw Thanks this.

What do you mean-'Mr. Perfect" ?
-
I made this video because someone made a comment on my other backing video that that one was not a challenge because it the lot was empty and looked to be the size of a football stadium. Also wanted to show a true 90 degree backing scenario, things to watch out for and strategies and step by step to get a trailer in between two fixed objects like that. I know it's regular everyday stuff to us, but look at it from a rookie's
perspective.Dominick253 and Blackshack46 Thank this.
