I call R/R and they say you cannot rent a trailer, they use to do it but not anymore because drivers were abusing the trailers. Sound like bs to me, if they driver abusing the trailer with his own belongings in there that's the same driver(s) who abuse trailers while hauling a load.
Sounds like BS. If you called back today and asked a different person you would be told a different BS answer.
They never call me to return a trailer, I always hook to a trailer when I'm home for a week sometimes 2 weeks
Also don't forget that every swift trailer has a camera mounted in the upper top portion inside the trailer, they will know about it I am sure
Really? I've heard this before, but I have only been looking the last week or so and have yet to see a single one. Where would this video feed go anyway? There isn't any onboard storage system that I can see. The only other way is a wireless stream to some central cloud, and given the bandwidth, storage requirements, and equipment costs for such a system for tens of thousands of trailers, wireless or not, I'm doubtful. Perhaps a handful of trailers could have this system; perhaps any trailer dedicated to a customer who consistently loads high-value freight? But every trailer? Or even the majority? I seriously doubt it. Swift has deep pockets, but not that deep. And considering the condition of most of the trailers in the fleet, I expect that of those that might have a camera, the majority of them wouldn't be functional any more, if they ever were. All the same, I don't think I'll be doing any activities inside a trailer that Swift would frown upon...
You never noticed the cameras in the nose of the trailers?? I don't know how they work, but they are there!
Whenever I shut down for the night with an empty I climb in the trailer, set up the disco ball and lights and do a naked happy dance. I keep getting snarly QC messages about breaking the cameras...
Thank you Frank for the mental image. Now when I call hubby and he doesn't answer I have reason for concern! Lol!
