I remember he became a seventh-degree black belt in karate. Like everything else it was probably something they just gave to him just because he was Elvis. In other words he had no challenge in life because everything he wanted was just right there.

It's really something when you think of it that such incredible success can lead to such incredible failure because of that incredible success.

I've read about the repairs they had to do whenever he stayed at a hotel. Broken appliances, junk food messes, black stains in the bathrooms from his hair dye, and sometimes bullet holes in the walls and ceiling.
They just fixed the stuff and sent the bill to Colonel Parker. His wake of damage was probably mild compared to a lot of metal rock stars.

These days you can find formal training and education on just about anything but how to prepare yourself for fame.
