Still new here but anyone know of flatbed companies that allow dogs and will let me stay out 1-3 months at a time? I really like TMC but they don’t allow animals. I looked in Roehl’s flatbed fleet and they don’t seem to make much money for being flatbed. I’m located in western PA and am still in CDL school so it will be a month or two before I get my license. But I want to have a job lined up so as soon as I get it I can go work the next Monday or whatever day. I have done a lot of google searches but I just find companies that do local stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think most companies will only allow you to use straps to secure the pet to the flatbed, no chains or binders. The ASPCA is watching.
Snyd, tscottme, Highway Sailor and 6 others Thank this. -
@Chinatown may can offer some insight.

Werner has some flatbed accounts and they will allow pets. I don’t recommend this route unless you have no other options as I think the flat bed work is seasonal for Tracker Marine. I think they put you on OTR van when not running the step decks but I’m not sure. You can likely make better money elsewhere.

I’d prefer flatbed but I’m pretty open to driving reefer or box. I haven’t heard the best about Werner but I’ll look back into them. Thanks for the suggestion.

Melton Truck Lines has pet policy and hires new cdl grads.
Then, there's the companies suggested on your other thread.G13Tomcat, Oldironfan and RedRover Thank this. -
Definitely looking into Melton more. I did look at the others you mentioned but found a few issues with some of them. (So many companies I can’t keep track of why I didn’t like specific ones) but I did take a liking to Melton, Maverick and TMC. Those are my top 3 so I’ll be going for those prehire letters from them now. Thanks for the help again. Much appreciated!

Swift allows pets. Their pay is now actually about average for what a new driver would make.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
NO pets in Maverick Trucks

I know, same with TMC. Unfortunately. But the pay and benefits and everything else seems pretty good so I would consider not having a pet if everything else is worth it.
