Lowering the seat to the bottom and then adding a memory foam cushion is what I did in my last truck. My current truck doesn't have the issue

I've always rode with zero air in the seat and find it much more comfortable than bouncing up and down. the key is to have zero air so when you hit a big bump you don't bounce and bottom out

Sears makes this base if that’s what your truck has. Clipboard in the second pic for height reference.

If you are bouncing up in down in the seat then you are able to lose control easily.
I betting that Pete started putting the taller seat bases in because of all the drivers running the seats all the way down that can’t see over the dash. Lol.

I have one of those, I think it’s awesome! I bought a brand new from a buddy of mine, he put it in, used it one day, tore it out that night and said nope, and bought a different one. Said no matter how he adjusted it, he couldn’t be comfortable. It fits me great!

Maybe you'd like to go back to the old Bostrom Viking T-bars? Those that drove cabover Cornbinders HAD to have air in the chair. I think many of you have forgotten how rough those older trucks drove.

The Pinnacle by Seats Inc. I put 2 new ones in mine, they can be set low and won’t bottom out. Cost about $1500 these days.
