Get real. Paper log books have ZERO effect on a company. But by all means jump on the bandwagon and get more idiotic rules instated.

If they pay 20cpm empty its doable if there arnt many empty miles and the loaded rate is over 40cpm.

 

Sorry, I never have understood that. Half price labor because the trailer is empty? I get that empty miles create zero revenue, but it doesn't diminish the work by 50%. What if you have to run 150 miles empty. It's not your issue they took a load to a destination where they can't get a backhaul.

 

Well I'm gonna try em out after the first of the year. I like the idea of long runs coast to coast. The SE to Call and back in 7-8 days is gonna require paper logs.

 

Make sure you ask for the cali run dont do their regional too many empty miles.

 

I have friend that just started with them, he also asked for their Cali runs they do have him doing regional for now to try him out they said. He was given the choice of running paper or electronic, he went electronic for obvious reasons. Also wanted to know if they still try to pressure drivers to run illegal?

 

Well I may go with another company then. Not gonna do regional...at all!
