Well, If you know so much "Hotrod". Why are you just now opening up your trap. Did you just now start reading threads? I was sent to California several times. I had to stay at that so called Ontario yard. Wilmington, Yuma, I also had sever Auto ZOne loads to Phoenix. Why set there and call everyone a DA? Your intelligence precedes you.

And I have been out west 3 times in the last few months. So I don't know what you're talking about that west coast loads are not being done by truck.

Glad to see it go. They were just covering up trailer problems and not fixing things.

I guess I don't know what I'm talking about either. The Knoxville yard closure was sent in QC message. I called my FM to verify in November when I first heard of it. She said we lost the leases contract with Milan Transport (owner of the yard) due us consistently violating the policies in the lease agreement regarding parking or dropping of trailers there. If it has been reopened since then, I'm not aware of it. We did not own the Phoenix terminal, we were just leasing space within its grounds. I'm not sure why the belief is that loads are not being run out west either. I know several drivers that are southwest regional and we still have several large customers in the Ontario/Fontana vicinity. One for instance is the Home Depot DC there. Last time I was in LA area I delivered a drop/hook load there. We had at least 20 trailers in their yard. Several of the husband/wife team drivers I've run into lately have still been ######## about running up northern California into Oregon and Washington. I guess they are just making it up though because we don't run loads out there anymore.

I dropped a trailer in the Knoxville yard in December. I remember getting a QC message that we might lose it if we didn't started securing the gate since it was supposed to be a secure location.

I know the Phoenix yard was small. That guy in there was the only one that fixed my APU. The other people at Van Buren, and other terminals just tightened the belt. At least he knew what he was doing. I tell ya a yard they need to get rid of. That New Orleans yard. That place is dangerous. That's the only yard that gives me the heebie jeebies.

And the road leading to the NO yard is not made for trucks. With the pole on the one corner and the guy detailing cars on the other it's almost impossible to turn there

And for the ones who say we don't do out west, I am sitting in a warehouse in Compton getting loaded right now.
