    a dispatch conversation;

    I just want to fully understand this.
    You made a promise. A promise that you had no way of fulfilling. Making a promise for some one else, with out checking with that person. I am not responsible for your promise. You are the one responsible for the promise, how do you plan to make good on your promise?

    Oh God, me and the wife are dying here, definitely using that one next to around, normally I make some comment about my guy not understanding that I don't control the space-time continuum

    I've had dip #### dispatchers that were drivers for 30 years. I think some lie about experience. The one that said he was a driver for 30 years said make sure those lumpers get you unloaded in 30 minutes........

    I drive a truck, not a time machine.

    Nobody was worried about the schedule when I was sitting for 5 hours waiting to get loaded/unloaded/repaired.

    Apparently no matter how high I raise my blood pressure the truck will still only go 65 mph.

    I didn't buy a truck with a 65 mph top speed. Go tell someone else to hurry up.

    I don't care if it hare-lips everyone on Bear Mountain, I'm not asking ANYONE for permission to shower/eat/use the bathroom

    Dispatch: By my calculations you can be there by 0200.

    Me: Ok... Patton figured Berlin by D+180. You know how that worked out right? Winter weather even slows down war. What makes you think it wont slow down an 18 wheeler?

    The worst and best at the same time I ever had was a 30 year retired driver. He was a beast too so you couldn't really make excuses with him because he could do it and had done it before and he would ##### up a storm. On the upside his load plans and royye dispatch were 110% better than anyone else could ever do because he knew what he was doing.
