Hello. Can an owner operator pick up local loads on load boards? I was thinking maybe in between longer short haul loads, for example, how easy would it be to pick up some local work for the rest of the day if I wanted to get some more work in before the end of the day or something like that?

The Harvey load picks up at Allied Tube anyhow, so that means you'll be sitting for atleast a day waiting to get loaded...

It depends what you mean by local.

I do in city local work and I get paid more than running regional or OTR.

When I’m ready to head home, I’ll grab a direct load home, or if there’s nothing direct, I’ll get a load as close to home as possible and deadhead the rest of the way.
