Why stop there? Make the entrance a reverse chicane. If you can't do a blind side s-curve backwards, you ain't allowed in the club. Also you forgot the scantily clad carhops. (I don't have to solicit lot lizards to appreciate having some pretty young thing bringing a burger out to my rig) OMG the first time I went to a T/A that "closed" at night! I believe it was WI. No food in the truck and I was starving at 3am.
If you have an APU you can fix the coffee pot up the night before and set the timer to start brewing 20 minutes before your alarm goes off. Truck smells mmm mmm good.
The truck stops I frequent have a personal maid serve fresh-brewed coffee and custom ordered breakfast in bed when you request. While dining, the butler will provide the day's newspaper and route weather, lay out my freshly pressed clothes and sign off on my pretip while I'm getting dressed. It costs a little more but the service is worth every penny. The evening masseuse and turn-down service is available at some locations but that service is hit and miss. I used to brew my own coffee but that became tedious and so much hassle.
Looking back. I am so glad Werner allowed us to make our own choices. Unless I was nowhere... I used ta/ petro for everything. Pfj? Absolute dumps and a staph infection to go with it. I feel bad for you guys that are stuck using PFJ only. Terrible places. When I didn't need a shower... I always stayed at a independent truck stop. One of the best salads I had was at a place called Bar B truck stop. Somewhere in Texas
reminds me of the greyhound station in Nashville, tiny stall, knee aginst the toilet paper dispenser toilet sits just barely above the bottom of the stall.
