Pilot is now a Loves !!

I got fuel at T/A about 1230 AM this morning but I knew I had 2 shower credits down the road at the J that would expire in a couple of days so I drove down there and found one of the last holes to back into and grabbed my bag and went on in.

Guys says 'we're a Love's now.' I was about to head out the door and he honored my J showers for free.

As I was thinking back over the last 90 + days I've been out here driving, that would count as the 3rd free shower from Love's that I have received. The first one was in New Mexico when I was a trainee, I had gone in intending to pay the $10 for a shower when the cute girl at the counter asked if I had a card. I told her I was a student driver and winked at her so she got me a new card and loaded a shower and $5 on it for me. My trainer had just gotten done telling me the truck fuel places won't let you join their card programs until you can attach a truck number to the card.

I forget where the second free shower was but I just went into the store, flashed my Love's card and the guy gave me a towel and a key without scanning my card. He looked annoyed so who was I to tell him his job? lol

Is it customary etiquette to leave a couple of dollars in the shower before you leave? What do you guys do? Do you tip for your showers?

 

I usually leave a dollar.

 

Was out there this week & one sign would say Pilot Exit 56 & then the next was changed over to Loves at 56. That place is full virtually 24/7 as the Petro next door charges $12 overnight parking w/o 50 gal fuel purchase. ​
