My solution is to use my GPS when I get close to my fuel stop.
Doing a search along my route for travel centers brings up the locations and the T/S numbers. So if there are more than one in a town I can see which one I need, the first time.
Even if they were off the same exit (very seldom, by the way), the GPS would direct me to the correct one.
As for the fuel route messages, my last trip I got 3 extra messages.
And, they gave a different route than the first one.
I went with the first.
And on this load, as I was typing this message, I just received #2.
Same route, but it is so direct that even my GPS gave me the same route.
Also on this load, I didn't even get a fuel route until after I was already picking up the load - and I had to call dispatch to get it.

Get the Pilot magazine and match up which one by what fast food joint they have.

My DM came in this morning and straightened out ... it also may be tied up with the fuel route issues that have going on. Would have preferred to Mac 30 last night. It worked out though, got a light 800 mile load with enough time to shut down and watch the Super Bowl.
It may appear that what ever they are doing with the fuel route is tieing in with the comdata fuel records. I stopped wasting my time with the MAC 11 on the EOBR. But today I fueled and filled my tanks. I got an update this evening to the fuel route "system has determined you have enough fuel to complete the load". Since I didn't do a MAC 11, the only way that could have been determined is by cross checking my fuel purchase in the comdata database. -
I dropped this morning and got a fuel route message a few minutes ago for that trip that is already done.
Sometimes the mac 11 request comes right away, sometimes it comes several hours later and sometimes it comes not at all. -
Well, I skipped my fueling on this load.
I have 3/4 tanks, and only 600 miles to go. No need for fuel, and the less weight the better the mileage. -
I keep getting "Enough Fuel," also.
I started the trip at 2/8. -
I like when I say 2/8's tank, and the fuel rte has me getting fuel 300 miles away, up and down mountains with heavy load. HEHE

Download the pilot/flying j locations .pdf from their website to your
smartphone or computer. Lists lots of useful info including store #, # parking spots etc.
And yea, fuel route system has been screwy last few days.
Just got one this am for the load I dropped yesterday am.
Before that, got 2 that had me going out of route avg. 100 miles.
Pulled into a TA and requested new 1... bing! -
Downloading the pdf sounds pretty good, I'm not paying $2.95 for the Pilot magazine ever again I tell ya that!
Now they are saying the comdata system is down, I hope they get it fixed by the time my 54 hour reset is done tomorrow, I'd hate to spend my own money for fuel.Last edited: Feb 5, 2012
