Just thought I would bring this up again, since Plus-1 seems not to be getting any better.
I had to bring my truck in for a 90 day inspection, no big deal.
So this afternoon I get 2 pplans back to back.
The first is picking up nearly 200 miles away to deliver the next morning at 0830 - a live unload by the way - around 160 miles away.
I had no mt yet, so I had to figure in the time to aquire an mt as well.
The second was picking up 30 miles away from the first delivery, at 0900.
Long story short, I would be at least 1/2 hour late to the first delivery - considering the time I was given the plan.
And how do I get 30 miles away in 30 minutes from when I deliver a live unload?
???
So now I have yet another 2 refused loads, when both were clearly impossible from the outset.
My current load had an initial delivery time of 1430, which I could not do.
I refused and put in a delivery of 2000, which was kicked right back to me as OK - so I took it.
It's a Walmart load going to a DC, and the window is 'till 2359.
But that is another refused load under this Plus-1 system, even though I took it with the revised times.
I'm sure my DM is going to be all over me for a 75% refusal rate next month. I also had 3 refusals in Salt Lake when they sent me 3 pplans to Denver - 530 miles away - when I only had 7.25 hours left on my 70 and no hours coming in the next day. (actually, one of them was a day later when I would have had some hours coming in. But I would have had to run the entire distance straight through, with no breaks or meals.)
It's like a new game I play, this Plus-1 thing.
How many loads can I both refuse and accept, while making sure I have enough time to actually do them safely!
