Yes, it is becomming an irritant. Today had to pick up pre ldd trlr. Appt time 0700. Showed up at the shipper that was on the work assign. 0650. Did not look right since did not see any trailers of ours there. Checked in, and yes, was told, go to another warehouse, and lo and behold, there it was. Checked in and came back to my truck. then sent the arr macro, 0711. Later in the morning, I get a svc failure msg, was late. Called in and explained what happened, and nicely told them, if would have been sent to the correct place in the first place, then this would not have happened. Told me to reply to the msg and they will do what they can to get it off. Also told them, please pull a log audit for the morning, and it will show when arrived, both locations. Don't give me a svc failure just because I was late sending in the Macro.

They are pushing on the hours. Have 2 hours left today and pick up 7 tonight. Get a pplan, pick up same town, del 0830 on the 9th, 577 miles. Still have 70 miles in the morning to go to drop, at 0700, and then live ld at 1000. Not going to get too far with 7 hours left. But then again pick up 9 Tuesday night. Ohh, going to Hammond, IN, Wal-Mart. I see something bad in my future on Wednesday.

It let you change on the mt call. But the loaded call is irrelevant now. Heck the load I'm on now didn't even give me the PTA on the load assignment. ETA of 10am tomorrow, PTA should be at 12. Nope system has set it at 0642 am on Wednesday. DM changed it, system changed it back.

So here I sit, off the planners radar screen for 18 hrs after my real PTA, MAC 34 not good till noon almost 1pm and then it will spit out loads for Wednesday. I'll have 9 hrs on my 11 and 10 on my 14 that will be wasted tomorrow.

The automatic PTA has gone from bad to worse. If anything, this has been the single barrier to keeping trucks loaded.

However, you can't convince the computer geeks that it's a problem. My PTA was reset to 0200 this coming morning. I have a ffull 34 right now. Had to call in to get a load for today.

Someone will be getting an email pretty soon.

The computer geeks are well aware of the problem. It has to do with the intergration of the new system with the EOBRs. It was decided not to spend the money on intergrating Plus One into the old Qualcoms since the problem self corrects once you have the EOBR.

Anyone that's been in or near the IT world knows that integration of any new IT function with an existing system will take time, money, and energy. It will be frustrating for anyone involved in it, from the executives who try to maximize profits to the IT techs that have to integrate to the boots on the ground - or accelerator, as it were - who have to use the system. They will all find strengths and failures galore and, I suspect, in a company as large and varied as Swift, the issues are magnified even more.

All it really takes is time. But having said that, "taking time" also takes a great deal out of the folks involved in the process

I do not like fighting with an inanimate object for my pay check. This issue with resetting PTAs has been going on for over a year. It directly affects my and other drivers' bottom lines. Now, it appears the capability of office staff to correctly set PTAs has been removed. We have gone from bad to worse.

Hey squeak - what I do is send a mac1 before I leave the truck. If I am at the address shown in the qualcomm, then as far as I am concerned I arrived on time.
Please don't allow yourself to accept a svc fail when you arrived to the location on time!
