I'm in New York between Nichols and Owego on 17. (South of Syracuse) Headed to Boston. Is there any realistic route that avoids tolls? Once you get up here, are they just a part of trucking? I've been route planning with the atlas and Google maps for the last hour, and I finally said screw it, I'm taking I-88 to I-90.

Try hammer. It's been good for me so far.FerrissWheel, cke, DeereRunner97 and 1 other person Thank this.

It was alright. My only complaints are the speed limits are mind-numbingly slow, and for no apparent reason, and the roads aren't in great shape. I mean they're good for awhile, and then a big pothole comes out of nowhere, and then back to normal. Pretty state, though. I'd like to see it in the Fall.
I could live there.FerrissWheel, PPLC, D.Tibbitt and 4 others Thank this. -
Meh, I've lived there. Your not missing out.

Here's my load, by the way. $5.09 per mile!! You guys said NE rates were high, but it's insane up here. Almost 2500 loads leaving a 100 mile radius of the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
FerrissWheel, staceydude, booley and 4 others Thank this. -
