Yep..he said he wanted everyone to get the correct info but the only time he gave any real info was in response to me pushing him for it. Everything else was propaganda.

I did sense an"if you dont like it then quit and shut up" attitude towards the end.

Now the ball is in heartlands court.

Should i still be here and find heartland becomes every bit the company that gordon has been. Then i intend to stand in their court and be as much an advocate for heartland as i was for gordon.

But as i pointed out they only get one chance to make a first impression.

Got to say in all of this that i feel terrible for greyhound..

He comes here after his company of 18 years was bought by central transport and they reduce his pay and benefits.

His first week after orientation this happens.

His truck breaks down twice on him.

They have him ride with another driver to green bay to get another truck. That truck does not make it out of the parking lot.

He calls me from the motel asking me what next..

My expert advice.. the bar makes a fantastic cuban sandwich.. wash that down with several cold beers.

Four beers !!!!! Why didnt i think of that earlier... rats.. i only have 1 in the fridge

No.. that wont fix anything but after 4 beers you wont care...

    Yo! GreyHound!

    Welcome to Gordon!!

    ; 0)

/Hey, that's truckin'. Sorry if I'm not feeling all that terrible. Wouldn't wish a black cloud over anyone. But I've had SO much grief here critical of my narrative, questioning my description of my time with Gordon. Sheesh! I think I got to Green Bay at least three times and never saw the GB terminal.

So GreyHound already has ONE thing I didn't get. I didn't know CT had the money to buy ANYONE out by the looks of them! Sounds like GreyHound's narrative is destined to be... short. Once you're out of Orientation, your time is unpaid and Gordon's. Unpaid. Well, I think he gets mileage for the ride-along. The motel.

Back home now. Radio says more wind and rain but clear and lightly breezy now. 5 deaths in Illinois. 75 touch downs.

    Sorry, GreyHound. Kinda.

tow, if HTLD offered to route you to some HTLD terminals to see the shops, talk to some drivers (of your own choosing), would you want to do that?

/If it were me, I'd want to see them on their home turf and not just wait for them to invade mine. But that's me. HTLD might not be friendly there. Yes, if you're gonna go (leave HTLD), they'd rather you went quietly, just shut the door behind you...

'Counting Scott, Larry and Steve's Money'

    Scott Gordon

84,796 is such a nice, round number, isn't it? Well, it would be to me if I had 84,796 HTLD shares even if I had to wait until 2017 to cash it in and started out worth $14.37 per share. Like Scott Gordon. So what were 84,796 shares of Heartland worth on Nov. 11, 2013 when Scott acquired them?

    Do the math: $1,218,518.

Small potatoes in the Gordon world.

Where does this info on Scott Gordon's HTLD shares come from? See: http://biz.yahoo.com/t/39/9202.html

Scott acquired those HTLD shares in the HTLD acquisition of Gordon Trucking. That's the nice thing about publicly-held companies. They have to post lots of information, for example, how many shares held by major shareholders and how those shares were acquired. Scott's a 'major' shareholder.

As of yesterday, when HTLD closed at $17.42, Scott's shares were worth $1,477,146, up $258,628. A good week for Scott. If it were me, every afternoon I'd probably pull up the stock price and check how my HTLD shares fluctuated for the day, up or down. At $17.42, Scott was actually down 10 cents a share yesterday (November 20, 2013), down $847.96.

    Okay, skip lunch, right?

50th anniversary, assassination of Pres. John F. Kennedy today.

Walking to class (8th grade) when news came over PA.

Math teacher announced to class that JFK had died.

Four tv days like none before or after until 9/11.

Saw Ruby kill Oswald on live television.

There are events and then there are events.

Like 9/11, still reverberates through the culture.

Like you victor.. I remember it all so clear..

I was in the 2nd grade .. a girl in my class screamed profusely because her parents had taken her to DC that summer and she had shaken the presidents hand.

Those were the days when the president was the president .. we weren't divided so much along party lines.

When the election was over it was over.

    Kennedy was everybody's president.

Only one other time have I felt that Way about a president and that was Reagan.

All the others just seemed to be in it for their own glory or some agenda other than the people.

Say what you will but I don't think I will ever see a time like that again in my lifetime.

I feel less old now. I was only 2 weeks old when it happened. Don't remember much from that time of my life.

Good time to head north Tow. Today in TX I Watched a guy whip it to the left lane around a "slow" car. Then he fought to keep from jack knifing. I think the reason he pulled off at the rest area was to change his tighty not so whities...

PSA Reminder: when you stop seeing spray come up from a wet road that means it just iced over......
