60 for trucks 65 for cars. 45-55 thru downtown i94 but seriously no one cares. Just behave and stick to the right two lanes the cops won't bother you. Don't ever ride the number 1 lane in Chicagoland they don't like that.

I believe the OP posted a thread a few weeks ago kinda complaining of the opposite of this.....

This is a quote from that thread....

"I'm just really tired of getting that look like I ran over your grandma, if I'm slow there's a reason for it otherwise I'm at least doing the speed limit"

Coffey, JonJon78, nredfor88 and 2 others Thank this.

Several of us grabbed the #1 around I-465, this morning. Mister 55mph LTL driver sitting in the center lane, the usual exit traffic in the right lane, and hardly anyone in the left. All lanes were wide open well past this logjam. Senseless.

Right now out of the hundreds of drivers not counting CDL drivers I have asked I would say 99% didn't know any answer and the 1% only knew the less than 35mph half of it.

I have quite frankly forgot about the 35 "rule" and....don't think I even cared. Just signal when appropriate
