Potential ?

Those moving companies usually have monster sized sleepers.
Some have full showers and all like a RV...

You know they live on the road!

 

Some of us do. They are nice and yes they do have showers and a potty. They also have a 265k price tag on average. That being said no we don't live on the road. Well some do but not all. Also not all of us are mover any more. Like the truck in the photo they do special commodities.

 

You can obtain that kind of money, you just won't obtain it from somewhere that has to put out flyers for drivers.

 

I ran across this ad today on CL. If it was really $175k a year, they would not need to advertise, they would have a line out the door.

Up To 82 CPM (+ FSC)???? So .82 is not the base rate???? OMG.

Talk about a losing proposition ... for the person reading. I guess it's a great winning proposition for US Xpress for every sucker they can sign up at .82 CPM.

How do you respond to this level of thievery and those who fall victim?

 

That's how I read it. It's not preposterous. Most companies run teams well and I've never seen a team starve.

 

I don't care if it's for singles, or dual teams or quadruple teams. 82 CPM is crap. That's the problem with much of this industry. The more miles they want to offer you, the less per mile they want to pay your truck. They want to FORCE drivers (trucks) to run 24/7 in order to make the piddly rate pay the various creditors hovering like vultures waiting for you to miss a payment so they can take the truck back and "sell it" all over again.

 

I don't want to hear what they earn.

I prefer to get into the expenses. Settle in with a pot it will be a while before we go over them all. If I find that I have to run a half million miles to gain 100K then forget it. (.20 a mile)
