i think it comes down to this.......

DO NOT CIRCUMVENT the drug testing......!!

if a driver HAS to cheat on the drug screening, either pre-employment, random, or post accident, that tells me that person HAS a problem UNDERSTANDING the rules, laws, regulations, requirements of truck drivers, and SHOULD NOT be driving trucks.

that person that feels the NEED to cheat on a drug screening of any type, has to me at least, proven he is a danger to others on the road and SHOULD BE taken OFF the road for good.......

i feel NO SYMPATHY whatsoever for a loser in this business doing drugs, and loses his job.........or doesn't get the job.......~~!!!!

I have heard over the years that one trick is to drink lots of beer for weeks, then switch to lots of water the last few days before the test. Since alcohol is both oil and water soluble, it helps flush the oil soluble crap out of the fat cells, or that's the theory anyhow.

BTW, if you get caught cheating on a drug test, like bringing in fake piss, it goes on your record for ten years automatically, and you wont be driving a rig. Diluting your piss sample by drinking lots of water beforehand is not cheating, per se.

Having said that, no one who is addicted to drugs or booze should not be driving 80,000 pounds of rolling destruction, unless you don't mind killing people, and spending lots of years in prison, when you get in a wreck.

I think you will find most places do. You also have to remember different monitors work different ways. I had a guy stand at a 90 degree and watched it flow, I almost felt like asking if he would hold it for me, or at least give it a courtesy shake when I was done. I have also been given the cup and told to put it in the processing door when I am finished. Most of the time, the monitor has walked in, and stood close enough to know if I were actually peeing or not, I think they were going off the sound of the flow, and they usually have you put the lid on the party cup, then seal it in the bio bag. Personally, I would rather urinate with privacy, but if it makes those up the food chain feel better about the testing process, more power to them. I have never had anyone be unprofessional at all, they don't want to monitor you anymore than you want to be monitored. In a prior job I was a monitor, and I had zero desire to see you whip it out and urinate, but if the lab came back and said it was not a good sample, meaning the bacteria count was high, or it was diluted, it would have been me getting terminated, not them.

I didn't read all the posts because it's the same old story. Here's a tip. Before you walk in blind to a drug test to "start" a driving carrer....go get a home drug test! It's called dodging a bullet.
    courtesy shake lol
