for all those that start their day before the sun is up any pointers for the pre-trip? Do you just wear a headlamp or what?

I prefer to stumble around in the dark. Kick a tire or two, look at the shiny lights, and then leave.

I know this may sound funny. If I could not see the ground good I slipped my rubber boots on. The reason? Urine bombs are not the only thing people leave around trailers. Even with a flashlight you can step on things!

A oil fired lantern under a Propane tanker... Come on common sense???

Let there be Light and it was so... Genesis. /sarcasm.

You will be under that truck in all weather day or night. Weather is irrevelant to the duty of doing a good pre trip. If that is what seperates the men and boys so be it. We can always use good Men who will shove, crawl under a rig in 3 feet whiteout to do a pretrip at 3 am in the morning. Ha. Boys can stay on the porch.

If you are the driver that people expect you to be, you will touch every part of your 18 wheeler and you will know it better than your special other's body.

You just need to use your sense of taste to find out what's broken. :p

The "flashlight" on my phone is bright enough.
