Effective Thursday March 28.
Cause: direct reflection of our hazmat basic and crash indicator.
Reads like the haz loads are going to get checked. Randoms on others. I may be reading it wrong though. I was wondering why in Louisiana I was not getting any signsl on it today. Yet I was getting passed on by the road signs. Guess ill see tomorrow in oklahoma what happens. Texas is always a crap shoot.
I'm calling in tomorrow to find out about the weekly $2.89 fee.
Lol. Goes right along with me getting to be a test dummy in a new truck with elogs and no apu. I may not be long in leaving if this keepd up. I got vacation in may. I may jump ship after I get that paid vacation done. We will see.
Sent from somewhere out there
Prepass suspended.

and J_Frog said EPES isn't good...we get prepass FOR FREE! No paying here for it! Looks like all the newbs, whose trainers aren't that great, will get more tickets and make the CSA score go higher and higher. Oh well.

I have often demostrated to my students the unnecessary expense of the Prepass. If you run legal and you have done your pretrip there is no need to worry. The few minutes it takes to go across the couple of scales that are actually open along your way isn't worth the $14 a month. It doesn't matter who is paying for it.
And besides if you are hauling hazmat a lot of states like Ohio require you to enter no matter what signal you get on your transponder. As I've really said before, I haven't been one of the chosen to actually get the honor of a free 108 point inspection very often.
According to my PSP in the last few years that they have been tracking I've only had two inspections. One perfect, the other with a minor brake infraction on the trailer. I welcome the opportunity to get inspected. Each good inspection makes you look better. While no inspections says just that. Nothing.Last edited: Mar 30, 2013

I was in a scalehouse for a level 2 once and was watching the prepass screen . Two Western Express trucks came through and INSPECT showed up in red letters for both trucks . That's the deal when you earn a poor rating .
dinkytruckerdoo, chalupa, aiwiron and 1 other person Thank this. -
" I,m glad you and Beeznduck are happy at Epes, I talked to them awhile back but didn't hear much that I liked.[/QUOTE]
So I guess you're saying an extra .10 a loaded mile doesn't sound good? And matching 401k doesn't sound good? And asking to be home any day, if needed, doesn't sound good? Oh lets talk about ALL the benefits you get here, compared to there....oh yeah....that doesn't sound good either! And getting home every week to do your 34, instead of a truckstop.....oh that must sound freakin' AWFUL, right? Sounds to me like you have lost all grip on reality! Guess when you leave USA you'll be looking for a job that pays the least, and REALLY treats you like ####! from the looks of it! -
that is the reality right there! The worse the CSA score....the more you're gonna be hassled!

It only takes bears in the medium selecting randoms a minute to pinch in DOT numbers of passing trucks and get their safety rating .
aiwiron Thanks this. -

Didn't hear much I liked does not equate to anything about isn't good. You may like oranges I may not.
But you on the other hand seem to like to come to the USA forum for no other reason but to whine and complain. As I said before I'm glad you like it at EPES. Just wondering why if you like it there so much do you spend so much time here?
