What she said. I don't think I've seen that much useful advice in one post. I've had to pull over before to do some jumping jacks. It does help. Also gave me a chance to check my tires/lights while I got my blood circulating again. I keep my AC on to lower the temp in my cab. If all else fails, take a nap and tell your dispatcher you are gonna be late.

Sleep less. I am far more alert on six hours of sleep than ten. Good luck and stay safe!

Adjust the ventilation in the cab so it's not toasty warm. Make sure it's just a bit chilly. Crack the windows, you can roll the passenger window down a few inches while driving even in the coldest of weather. You want to let the carbon dioxide out and fresh air in.

A few Drops of Habenero or Ghost Chile Sauce on the Tongue works for me. Wake right up! :biggrin_2555:

I made a few friends, both real and imaginary, that I talk to on the phone. It really helps. Also at night if you can avoid driving right before the sun comes up, dunno why but that hour is hell. Keep the cab cool, heat makes you comfy and tired. Snack on trail mix or an apple. An apple contains the energy equivalent of 2 cups of coffee, also sugarfree gum helps.

You may only THINK that you are sleeping 10 hours.. you sound like the perfect example of having a sleep disorder of some kind. If you "sleep" that long and get up and your sleepy again, you may really want to get your self checked out for your own self protection.

Yes, but then he will see the sound coming from the radio speakers, get freaked out, and want to go back to bed.
