Pride has added driver cameras

More of that in-can camera garbage...I wonder if it's even dawned on these "safety experts" that any driver whose been doing this for years and kept their records clean absolutely HATES having one of these Orwellian BS cameras staring at them all the time. My last company started that crap saying "it's only and event recorder". Then they pulled that "you aren't holding the wheel right" or "you shouldn't be drinking out of that water bottle!" stuff.. I got out of that company fast.

 

I've gotten written up for seat belts, hard stops, panic stops they call them, sometimes the brakes grab so hard it goes off, for activating it manually too many times (verbal there)...
They b$tch it costs them money every time camera is activated,...
I'd activate the camera every hour or so, they'll do something 'bout that...

Cameras on 4 wheelers monitored by the very insurance companies that insure them.

Why the F would you think that a semi driver, who's got 18 wheels and 80k of weight would be a threat to safety? Serious question wouldn't you think? Cause and effect - a majority of you 'get it'.

Educate the public on how to drive instead of wasting time on us. We HAVE to be safe otherwise we don't make money for being reckless and In a wreck on the side of the road

No, they just wait until the truck comes into the shop for service, then pull the "random captures" and pushes them to safety to view "randomly".
