Nope, not on the reefer side. They'd much rather have you take a nap if you don't have to be on dock to supervise someone else doing the loading. Cuts down on workman's comp claims - and you're ready to run when they're done. The flatbed guys do their own load securement, and tarping. Tanker guys have to be there to load/unload their stuff.

Thanks alot for your reply. I start next week at prime and i was just curious. The last thing i wanna do after driving all day is handle frieght.

It takes getting used to, no doubt. One of the many adjustments you'll need to do is dealing with your weight, and getting enough exercise.
