Get an air printer, won’t have to hook it up to anything but a power supply when it needs charging.

I have a cheap Cannon WiFi enabled printer that allows me to print directly from my phone without internet or a router. (I have a Note 4). I got it from Walmart for around $35. It sits at the foot of my bed. The only thing I have an issue with it is I run out of ink too fast

Ink will run you out quick.

Hit the university or school library sign out a computer and do your printing from there. Parking etc would be another matter.

For us that inverter allows us to use any printer we can shove into the truck. It's the ink that will cost you big time. We used either a Canon MX 330 or MX340, something like 30 bucks off the laptop to drive it and the inverter to feed it.

I did a Google search for air printers, but can't seem to find battery operated printers. What model do you have?

Hell if I know lol I bought it a while back n it’s been setting in my other truck collecting dust.

Doesn’t have to be strictly battery- could get a plug in kind and just plug the inverter up when you need to use it. Better than firing up a laptop and all that to print a single document.

I had a canon before but the ink industry is a rippoff. I've heard of laser printing where you can print way more. I like the idea of just hitting up a library or a school and paying the .15 a page. It would be nice to just have one in the truck.

I usually get what ever the cheapest on sale printer I can get. Usually $25 - $26 from Amazon, Walmart or Best Buy.

Its cheaper to toss the printer and buy a new one than it is to buy replacement ink for it. HP and Cannon seem to work the best for me.

I have laser printer that I strapped not to move. Sometimes it's big advantage and convenience to be able to print or copy something out in the truck. It saves time at some shippers/receivers. Also laser one is something that won't dry and you don't have to worry about. One cartridge from eBay for $20 lasts forever.
