That's the problem. It's like disappearing ink. The citation I got from Ohio State Police a couple months ago was barely readable when he handing it to me. It's now pretty much trash.

I'd much rather have something that I can trust versus some vampire print out that needs darkness to survive.

I guess if someone has their filling system on the dash. Thermal printers aren't a good idea.haha.

Seriously. The thermal printed paperwork is treated like the inkjet at home.
    It all keeps the same.

Indeed but life is crazy hectic sometimes and my truck gets plenty of sunlight inside. Just leaving it on a seat could prove disastrous. It would just end up being one more thing for me to worry about. I think laser is the best but I don't have an inverter that can handle to power needs for one. One day I will get a pure sine wave inverter and step it up.

Found a all in one at Wally world for $30 . Keep it on my top bunk and bring it down to do paper work , I'm in a Cascadia there really aren't to many good places to have it out all the time .

3 way block from extension cord that feeds printer and microwave, from 1500W inverter.

I went with a Brother laser for about $150 after having one in my house for a few years. I bought replacement toner but never used it. It’s in the truck too.

Lasers do have a big surge at startup. Even my 1500 MSW inverter wouldn’t run it. Now I have a $450 AIMS 2500 pure sine wave. Runs everything. Keurig, laser printer, microwave, chargers, etc.
