So I ran across a ProStar today with a C13 cat. The guy says it’s a stock truck and it came with the engine from the factory.. Straight blew my mind!! Anyone else knew about these?

Only problem is that it is equipped with by far the worst aftertreatment system developed. Now if it has already been "addressed", then it is a decent product.

Yes, they did build several of these. Very rare. I have only ever seen 2. It's the last of the engines Cat made for highway use when Cat got out of the trucking market. Many International dealers stopped being a dealer for CAT engines after this too. Sort of a castaway orphan.

So for the people who has one can they still get serviced at the dealership?

The International Dealers (2) that I have worked for since Cat left the truck market have both stopped supporting Cat engines. Techs are not trained, tooling not kept up either. I highly recommend taking one for service to an actual Cat dealer.

Even Cat dealers are phasing out support for on-road engines.

The branch I worked at didn't typically touch on-road. Never saw a truck come in the door the entire time I worked there anyways. I think they had to go to another location several hours away.
