I graduated high school in the SF bay area in 1967, "The summer of love". It was legal then, became illegal in 1968. The early LSD was a dot on a sugar cube. I tried it a couple times but decided I didn't want to do anymore. I did smoke a pile of weed that summer.

Shrooms and acid with my buds a few times in highschool. Couldn't imagine driving on either Lol. Crazy geometric patterns. Probably spent a half hour inspecting the bathroom tile because it looked so cool

Just the last decade or 2 they've really been studying psychedelics in modern psychotherapy.

I love a good full flavored beer but stuff that makes you see little green space men has never interested me.

Nah I like reality and being sober.
To me being able to function normally is much preferred to being inebriated.

I don't even get drunk anymore.

I always liked George Carlin's line..."I took so much acid that I saw God. And God spoke to me. God said..."Quit taking so much acid".
I think the only reason I didn't do a lot of dope as a kid was simply because I couldn't afford it. I was married at eighteen and we had out first kid at nineteen. There wasn't much money or time to spare on getting high.
I had a high school buddy who flew crop dusters. He started out running pot out of Mexico back in the days when we didn't grow our own. He graduated from running pot to running guns south and coke north. One day he flew off headed south in DC-4 and we never heard from him again. Ever. That was fifty years ago.
