I talked with a driver from PTL a few days ago. He confirmed the pay cut. PTL has to be one of the sorriest excuses for a company out there. I drove for them for a long time. There were very few weeks that I did not want to quit! Of course they cut driver pay and raised management pay. That's what I would expect of that den of vipers. Looking for a job.... PLT is not where you want to be.
It don't matter anyway... They both are not worth a rats a%$!
PTL dipps to a NEW low...

Thats amazing how these #### COMPANIES take advantage of drivers..I drove for ptl back in 2005..and instead of having a CORPORATE OFFICE..THEY HAD MAIZE OF TRAILORS FOR OFFICES..SO #### CHEAP...BUT THE EXECUTIVES GET ALL THE #### MONEY...
This is harleynite gain as i said yesterday....drove for ptl little over year..amazing had watch pay settlements always try not to pay something they owed you..and even in orientation you asked a question on the owners they where so hazy about the answers..but the paschall that had owned them as you leave murray into tenn..they owned bunch of businesses...strange company especially when they used all those trailors as corporate office..Last edited by a moderator: Apr 30, 2009

then stop getting their fr8t in on time. this looks to be a company that needs help to see that the drivers are there bread and butter.
-
I spent over year with them..all time low..cut drivers salary .but give management 3 per cent raise
They still have the..maize of trailers...as corporate offices..one trailer had safety , the other trailer had payroll..they are the cheapest company out there ...no offices...Last edited by a moderator: Apr 30, 2009

If you like being treated like a turd, PTL is the place for you.
I'm 60 y/o, so I've been around the block a few times.
In all my years in and out of trucking, I've never worked for an
outfit that treated their drivers worse than PTL.
Kunta Kinte, I mean Toby, was treated like a royal prince
compared to the way they treat their slaves, I mean drivers.
There are a small handful of fair haired sons who get treated like
human beings (I was told), but my experience was they are an
equal opportunity abuser.
There are hordes of drivers continually entering their ranks, as
hordes of drivers leave PTL's trucks (for spite, and I don't blame them)
from sea to shining sea.
But, some people have to learn the hard way. I was one of them. -
Currently in Lincoln Al at the T/S across from the Pilot. Lots full and in the front row is a PTL truck taking up three spaces. He came in the wrong way looks like and didn't even complete his turn before closing the curtains.
Biggest bunch of #### morons out here! Where the hell do they find these brain dead idiots? -
They are the worst outfit I ever worked for.
The drivers are treated like #######, except for a few favorites.
Most larger outfits treat drivers like a number.
So does PTL.
That number is the number zero.
Management is the most hateful and arrogant bunch I ever
encountered in 60 years.
It's like they came from another planet.
I'm sure they have all made advance reservations
in the Lake of Fire. -
I drove for PTL for a year and a half and not once did I hear a single word about Swift buying them out. I just left them last week, after working out my two week notice. Well over 100,000 safe miles, with a so called plaque to prove it, never turned down loads, never heard me whining and complaining, out a month at a time, never asked for a new truck, etc. My APU goes out and not only are they not going to fix it but I get told I'm not getting another truck so I will have to go back to watching my idle time like a hawk or I'll have to watch some 4 hour video about idling or get fired. That to me is a slap in the face. Then when I do get home after 18 hours on a Greyhound, they call me and ask me to come back? Then they decide to ask me why I left and tell me I'm the kind of driver they want to keep? Little bit late for that don't you think?

And to put a twist on it,
the Good Cop doesn't know what the Bad Cop is up to.
(and the good cop has no real power)
Bottom Line - The people with the hammer are the real #########.
When you have rotten hateful despicable people in charge and in
positions of real power, you have a PTL.
A Nightmare on Wheels.
