Pulling Doubles - Smaller heavier trailer first?

    UPS on the parcel side does a lot of moves with a dolly on the tail, and they always have lights and plates on theirs.

    No idea why we get away with not having our dollies plated. But it is not unusual for a truck pulling a trailer plus con. Some of it has to do with them dropping the rear box (which may be a trailer load) at a customer's yard.

    The other major issues is some states will not allow certain LVCs into their state and the driver is forced to drop a trailer at the border and have someone else bobtail and retrieve it.

    My company has a drop lot right at the Idaho/Washington State border. WA will not allow us to tow in Rocky Mountain Doubles or triples... Even though our barn in Spokane is only 15 miles west of the border. It's a huge hassle to dispatch a bobtail out to pick up the last trailer that couldn't make it into the state legally
