I plan on buying a brand new Flatbed within the next month or so. Just curious is it any different than buying a truck as far as negotiating the price goes? With my truck purchase I was able to get the price down a bit and also got 8 new drives that I negotiated into the deal. The trailer is a 2017 48ft All Aluminium Big Bubba with all the bells and whistles so really can't think of anything to "sweeten" the deal as far as throwing in any extras... The price seems about dead on from dealer to dealer so just thinking how much if any room is left for negotiations? I'm securing outside financing on my own also... Anyone with trailer purchasing experience got any advice? Is the price I see pretty much the price I get? Thanks in advance.

I have a friend that says “EVERYTHING is negotiable”, that being said I just bought a new trailer and didn’t even try. I got a better than average price for my trade, I think, so I was already content with the deal, but in hind sight after me and my friends conversation I wish I would’ve tried. I was you, I’d try to get the price down, it is a later year model.

Must admit I didn't try on either.

The 53' was new - I had to wait on it, price was close , dealer to dealer.

The 48-80 was used - guy did the 'the other guy will buy it if you don't ' trick - not many others in that price range at the time.

Buy alot of my trailers in Iowa seems to be more left overs because big boys order them up and then cancel orders after !

I am that friend. Everything is ALWAYS Negotiable...

You negotiate everyday, you just don't realize it. Sometime with yourself i.e. what/where/when to eat.

Heck, even poontang is negotiable. Don't ever settle for the first offer (in everything) you may be surprised at what they (she) may say yes to.
