If a potential employer won't hire a person because of an overweight ticket, are they really worth working for?

I see people on here all the time going on and on about this PSP report, DAC report, and whatever other report known to man, and for the life of me, I've never held a job where any of those things mattered. My record is spotless, I paid to see my PSP out of curiosity, and it shows nothing at all, even though I've been inspected several times, had more overweight tickets than I care to remember, and some other non driving violations, all at my first job. But it shows no inspection history whatsoever. So how reliable is it?

My last employer actually pulled my DAC report, and there was no records to be found. Even though I'd been driving 10 years.

Now, I know some places actually do look at such things, and those reports have their place. But, to me, if a potential employer would pass over a driver based on overweight tickets alone, then maybe they aren't worth the hassle of working for.

Only if it’s on an inspection report. If it’s just an overweight ticket by itself then it won’t be on your PSP.

Did you join this forum strictly to tell folks what they are doing wrong and how righteous you are? You've made 6 posts and from my perspective, that's certainly what it looks like.

No I did not. iI dont see where I have been rude to anyone. I think you must be reading more into my words than what was intended. Everything I have stated is merely factual from my own experience. I have not cursed anyone or attempted to incite an arguement in anyway. I can factually prove my statements with documents. I hardly see how saying one persons satement to me was wrong violates any of the forum rules. This is an informative an helpful forum and I have no desire to offend anyone or violate the rules.
From here on out I will refrain from commenting or responding to anyone.
Have a wonderful holiday and blessed new year. To one and all on this site.

Back up your claim with some evidence. That's the only way you will sway any of us that have the ability to read the regs for ourselves that plainly state that over weight citations are civil offenses, much like a parking ticket. No points, no nothing. Just pay the fine and move on.

Yep, you don't know. Cali is not like "other states" I had my license suspended for a $10 document fee which I paid but they didn't record. I had to hand deliver the copy of the cashed check to clear my license.
Also in Cali you have to be legal to roll. Thats why Tow companies make money doing transloading at Cali scales. I did roofing supply in the bay area. I quit because I either had to leave bundles at the scale or bypass scale which is an extra $500 if they catch you.
The penalty under 4501lbs over is a fine & a moving violation . More then that it is a criminal offense. So rolling 90K in a 80K rig is pretty stupid in California
