It's probably a good thing that QT isn't more prolific. My pancreas would be a smoking, crispy pile of ashes after a steady diet of their apple fritters.
No shower, no place to sit inside and eat, no laundry, parking lot never hold more then 50 trucks, yep great stop, best in universe!
I just was to an area I had never been before, Delmarva, and Royal Farms has quite a presence, that and Valero. The PA locations are said to have decent fried chicken, their specialty. Speedway has sort of copied Sheetz MTO, as well. I haven't checked for showers, but the Kwik stores(Trip and Star) have been promoting increased availability of that amenity, again, I don't know specifics, they have a new reward card system for professional drivers.
I recently went to a QT. Was making my way toward Atlanta and trying to push far as I could. Got down to 30 min and forgot the truck stop I planned on shutting down was that little one due east of Atlanta, where there’s never parking anytime. So, being a reasonably modern driver, I look up a place. If I back tracked I would be nearly out of time. So, I had to go for it. About 6 min back I realize the qt wasn’t just a gas station and pulled in. I pull in and everything is clean. Figured it was just because it was newer. I even got one of those prepare subs in a plastic box. It was pretty decent, staff very friendly and fast. Alas, I don’t recall showers though. I could be wrong. They kinda remind me of a toms or ruttgers you see in the Harrisburg/south eastern areas of PA, except more truck centric.

QT is great if all you need is is fuel . I don't like their roller dogs or nasty breakfast pizza. I stop in for the cheap fuel and nothing else. Kwik Trips are the same , I only stop in if the fuel is cheap.
