You do realize that the 70 is a rolling limit for an 8 day period. Not familiar with the Qualcomm but it should tell you somewhere what hours you will gain back each day from the recap.

Perhaps but his question suggests otherwise, doesn't it?

STAY PUT for about 16 more hours. That is your 34 reset, you will have a instant 70 hours back.

Now 33.5 hours to work... you can run a nice quiet 1500 mile run and keep a eye on your recap which should already tell you what you will have the next 8 days provided you have been filling recap for the last 8 days worked.

Just because you only got 33 hours today does not mean you get to sit around all day. Go get a load. Make some money. Shoo.

Qualcomm should have an "8 Days" tab or "8 day summary" which shows Driving and On duty totals for each day, along with miles.

You should be able to see what hours you get back at midnight each day by looking at that. The main HOS status screen should also say how many hours you'll get back Tonight at midnight and tomorrow at midnight.

To get back the full 70 though requires 34 hours of Off duty/Sleeper time in a row, just like paper logs. Averaging about 9 hours a day of Duty/Drive time will get you perpetual roll off hours and you'll never need a 34. Thats how I operate.

But you'll never be able to "Force" a 34 hour reset on a QC, only your Logs department could conceivably do that but thats log falsification and could show in an audit. You cant edit your drive time, only non drive time (most of the time).

If a driver needs or wants a 34 restart on Monday morning you need to be parked by 8pm-midnight Saturday. You park at 8 pm you can go 6am monday. Park 10pm Saturday you can drive at 8am Monday. It needs to be 34 hours off duty or sleeper and you can do some Personal Conveyance if you want to go see a movie or something as long and company is ok with that.

If you have 33.5 hrs available, you only worked 36.5 hrs last week. At that rate, why do you NEED a 34? You will recap hours before you run out. If you ran hard right out of another 34, then you will start getting full days of hours back on thursday.... you have 3 full days now, that covers Monday through Wednesday. Go to work

Your original post showed ignorance of something you are expected to know before being a driver.

ZVAR's post was at worst, snarky.
