So I currently work as a delivery driver for an Amazon DSP, I was looking and I can take the ELDT with them for free, so if I take this does this mean when I go for my CDL I won’t have to take the in-class portion, just the driving training?

If Amazon is providing the ELDT, then someone there should know.

Since your CDL will be issued to you by what is Conn's Dept of Motor Vehicles -- I would go to one of their offices, & ask THEM the same question you've asked here.
You should quickly get to the bottom of what else is required....for a legit CDL.
CAUTION: It's a very tough job market out there right now, for CDL rookies.
SUGGESTION: Talk to some CDL instructors nearby....to get an idea of where you might get a rookie-level CDL job in your area -- BEFORE you invest a lot of time & effort.
Then follow-up their suggestions with some phone calls -- just to verify.

I never went to a school, but I was under the impression that the employer always provided the E Log training since different devices operate differently. The only thing that stays constant is HOS.
EDIT: Just saw the response by OP, so never mind.
