I have never run out to texas, but the company I'm going to be leasing my truck on with has some runs going down there.
I was told before that my truck wouldn't be able to handle the mountains going to Texas.
Is the way there from the buckeye like 71 or 77 going south where there are runaway truck ramps, or more like 75 south or 80 East going through the keystone where it's just a lot of ups and downs?
My truck does not have jake's, that's why I don't want to go down 71 or 77, or another highway like it

I've never seen a hill in Texas that amounted to much.

There is nothing even resembling a mountain in Texas. Someone's yanking your chain.

You will be fine. We used to run 48 states back in the day with 318 Detroits with no jakes and never thought nothing about it.

Ohio-Tx, no problems, may not be first to top of hills but no major mountains.
I’ve ran mountains without jake’s.

The only thing you have to worry about when you get to Tejas is Chupacabra’s. Do not get out and walk around your truck alone after dark on a deserted country rd.
