Good ol paper logs rip the page out and make it look good with plenty of time to get home.

Ok, there are, or should be, only 4 lines in a log book.

    Intothesunset and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

A missing page in your log book in Canada is an automatic fine, truck impounded, and the driver given at least a 72 hour license suspension.

Not allowed here either. Factory stapled books, and when you start a new one, must have the old one with you for a minimum of a week to.

Yet there’s nothing against a non-commercial driver from going non-stop in a private vehicle for days at a time. This includes class A RVs. Fascinating isn’t it?

I suspect that has to do with the fact that driving a personal vehicle isn’t a federally regulated industry.

There is at least one exception. You cannot complete a brake inspection without taking the truck to 5 MPH and stopping it with the service brakes.

As for utilization of PC status, lots of large companies allow it. If they were not legally allowed to do so, they would not expose themselves to the legal jeopardy.

    BOOM!!
You can park that Freightliner at the terminal after driving 11 hours, jump in the pickup and drive 5 hours home.
