    I do not know what all changed with the elog deal, but any dot I have ever known would tell you, you could not back to your home terminal after you were out of hours. This has been written up countless times and beat in court each and everytime I know anybody that has done it.
    The grocery haulers out of seattle to hear, run extra tight on their logbooks, so when the unload in anchorage, they come home 360 miles on their time. The dot kept writing them up and they kept winning.

    @Long FLD

    Do you have a link to that AG exemption? I'd like to read it again.

    I thought it was out and back.

    I tried it long ago, got a ticket with fine, in Tete Jaune Cache. I know many others who have as well. My brother is also a trucker, he decided to tear out a page of his log book once, and write a new story so he could get home. Kamloops scales nailed him hard. They impounded his truck, fined him, and then slapped him with a 72 hour driving suspension. 3 days later when the moron went to get his truck, he also had a hefty towing and impound bill. I just laughed at him for even trying it. I'm more the type to just follow the rules, my siblings are more likely to play fast and loose with rules.

    I am not talking about tearing a page out, I am talking about loose leaf. There is nothing to tear out. I can see where they would frown on missing pages. lol
    It has been so long since I ran Canada, do you guys still have to specify whether you are running on type 1 or 2 on your logs, or what ever I call it. It has been so long I forget what type I had to use, or what they actually called it.

    Loose leaf logs are not bound together in any book, it is just a stack of log pages, you put in a 2 ring binder.
    You can remove one or many anytime you make a mistake. I have them printed a thousand at a time, I make lots of mistakes sometimes. lol

    'Loose leaf' paper is simply unbound or individually removable sheets.

    For instance, three-ring binders are nearly always filled with loose leaf paper.

    Way before looseleaf logs hit the market, my cousin would take the pages out of regular logbooks and use a whole punch,to make his own looseleaf logs. lol
